Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 28 June to Sunday 4 July 2021

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    Metro

    Friday 2 to Sunday 4 July

    • From 10.40pm Friday, no trackwork scheduled on the metro, but trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel.
    • If you are travelling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for a direct train via the T9 Northern Line.

    City Circle

    Monday 28 June to Thursday 1 July

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July

      • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Friday 2 July

    • From 10.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Wynyard and North Sydney.

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July

    • Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Wynyard.
    • T9 Northern Line trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.

    T1 Western Line

    Friday 2 July

    • From 10.50pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July

    • Trains run between Emu Plains or Penrith and Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.
    • Richmond trains start and end at Olympic Park. If you are travelling to or from the City change at Parramatta to continue your journey.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 28 June to Friday 2 July

    • Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • Trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping at all stations between Liverpool and Lidcombe.
    • During the morning and afternoon peak periods some trains run between Leppington and the City via Regents Park instead of Granville.

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July

    • Homebush trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, stopping at all stations between Liverpool and Lidcombe, then running to the normal timetable between Homebush and the City.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 28 June to Friday 2 July

    • Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Bankstown and Lidcombe only. Change at Lidcombe for trains towards the City.
    • Trains also run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park. Change at Regents Park if you are travelling between stations Liverpool and Sefton to stations between Birrong and Sydenham.
    • All-stations buses run between Bankstown and Sydenham, but for a faster trip to and from the City, extra express buses run to and from selected stations.
    • Extra trains run on the T8 Airport & South Line to connect with replacement buses to or from Padstow, Beverly Hills or Kingsgrove. Some trains run via Sydenham and make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July

    • Buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Bankstown and Lidcombe only. Change at Lidcombe for trains towards the City.
    • Trains also run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park. Change at Regents Park if you are travelling between stations Liverpool and Sefton to stations between Birrong and Sydenham.
    • T4 Illawarra Line trains run between Sydenham and the City, with some services making extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July

    • All Cronulla and some Waterfall trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
    • Daily between 8am and 8pm, extra trains run between Hurstville and Bondi Junction.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 28 June to Thursday 1 July

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1am, trains via the Airport start and end at Central due to City Circle trackwork. You may need to change trains to continue your journey.

    Monday 28 June to Friday 2 July

    • Some trains may run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • Extra trains run between Revesby and the City Circle via Sydenham. These trains stop at Revesby, Padstow, Riverwood, Beverly Hills, Kingsgrove, Sydenham, St Peters, Erskineville, Redfern, Central, then the City Circle, first stop Town Hall.

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July

    • Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • Revesby trains run between Revesby and Central only, platform 23.
    • Most Macarthur trains to the City run via Sydenham. Trains from the City run via the Airport.
    • On Sunday from 8.40am until 3pm, buses replace the all-stations trains between Revesby and Wolli Creek.
    • Express trains continue to run, but will not stop at stations between Padstow and Turrella.

    T9 Northern Line

    Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 June

    • Nightly from 10.30pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Epping and Strathfield.
    • Trains run between Hornsby and Epping, and between Strathfield and the City, to a changed timetable.
    • Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains run to a changed timetable via the T1 North Shore Line.

    Friday 2 July

    • From 10.50pm until 2am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 1-12, due to trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line.

    Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 July

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 June

    • Nightly from 10.30pm until 2am, some trains run to a changed timetable via the T1 North Shore Line, making extra stops at Chatswood, North Sydney, Wynyard and Town Hall.
    • Buses replace T9 Northern Line trains between Epping and Strathfield.
    • Limited stop buses run from Strathfield to Hornsby to connect with Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains at Hornsby.

    Wednesday 30 June and Thursday 1 July

    • Nightly from 10pm until 3am, at Cowan and Hawkesbury River, trains towards Newcastle Interchange leave from platform 1, not platform 2.

    South Coast Line

    Monday 28 June

    • From 3.15am until 5am, at Coniston and Wollongong, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.

    Saturday 3 July

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Helensburgh and Waterfall, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.

    Sunday 4 July

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Otford and Helensburgh, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
