Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 5 to Sunday 11 September

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    Metro

    Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 September

    • Nightly from 10pm until 1.30am, buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    City Circle

    Monday 5 to Thursday 8 September

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • Some City Circle trains run to a changed timetable and leave from different platforms. 

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September

    • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Monday 5 to Thursday 8 September

    • Nightly from 10.30pm until 3am, buses replace trains between Berowra and Hornsby.
    • Wednesday and Thursday, nightly from 11.20pm until 3am, trains towards Berowra will leave from platform 1, at Asquith, Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-gai and Berowra, not platform 2.

    T1 Western Line

    Wednesday 7 September

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, most trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood. 

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September

    • Buses replace trains between Emu Plains and Blacktown.
    • Sunday from 6.30am until 10.30am, some trains also make extra stops at Homebush, Burwood and Croydon.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Wednesday 7 September

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Ashfield.
    • Trains run between Ashfield and the City Circle, some to a changed timetable. 

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September

    • Most Homebush trains run between Homebush and North Sydney, to a changed timetable.
    • Sunday from 6.30am until 10.30am, buses replace Homebush trains between Ashfield and Central.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Saturday 10 September

    • From 2am until 9.30am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line,

    Monday 5 to Thursday 8 September

    • Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.
    • Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. 

    Saturday 10 September

    • From 5.50am until 8am, trains run between Waterfall or Cronulla and the City Circle, and between Bondi Junction and Central only.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September

    • Buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central via the Airport.
    • Buses to Airport stations stop at Sydenham, Wolli Creek, International Airport, Domestic Airport, Mascot, Green Square and Central only.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Monday 5 to Friday 9 September

    • Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Mount Victoria
    • Trains run between Mount Victoria and Central, some to a changed timetable. 

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September

    • Buses replace trains between Bathurst and Blacktown.
    • T1 Western Line trains run between Blacktown and the City and do not run to the Blue Mountains Line train timetable.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Monday 5 to Thursday 8 September

    • Buses replace the 23:13 Gosford to Central service from Gosford to Hornsby.
    • Nightly from 11.20pm until 5am, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Hornsby and Cowan.
    • Wednesday and Thursday, nightly from 11.20pm until 3am, trains towards Gosford will leave from platform 1, at Asquith, Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-Gai and Berowra.

    Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September

    • Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Gosford.
    • Trains run between Gosford and Central, most to the normal timetable.

    Hunter Line

    Tuesday 6 to Friday 9 September

    • Daily from 4.40am until 5.40am, buses replace some trains between Telarah and Maitland.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Maitland and Newcastle Interchange.

    Friday 9 to Sunday 11 September

    • From 11pm Friday, buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.

    South Coast Line

    Monday 5 to Thursday 8 September

    • Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham.
    • Buses run between Wolli Creek and Sydenham, and between Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.

    Saturday 10 September

    • From 5.50am until 8am, trains run between Wollongong and Central only. T4 Eastern Suburbs Line trains run between Bondi Junction and Central.
    • From 7.10am until 11am, buses replace trains between Kiama and Dapto.
    • From 11.50am until 3.30pm, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Kiama.

    Saturday 10 to Sunday 11 September

    • From 6am Saturday to 6pm Sunday, at Towradgi and Fairy Meadow, all trains towards Wollongong leave from platform 1, not platform 2.

    Southern Highlands Line

    Monday 5 September

    • From 2am until 8.30am, buses replace trains between Goulburn and Moss Vale.
