Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
- Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.
T1 Western Line
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
- Trains run between Penrith, Blacktown and the City, most to the normal timetable.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Extra trains run between Ashfield and Kingsgrove via the City Circle and Airport.
T3 Bankstown Line
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Buses replace all trains between Sydenham and Central.
- From 10pm Saturday until 6am Sunday, buses also replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line,
Monday 12 to Thursday 15 September
- Nightly from 9.45pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla or Waterfall and North Sydney.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between:
– Cronulla and Sydenham
– Waterfall and Hurstville
– Central and Bondi Junction.
T5 Cumberland Line
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
- Trains run between Blacktown and Liverpool or Leppington, most to the normal timetable.
T8 Airport & South Line
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
- Extra trains run between Kingsgrove and Ashfield via the Airport and City Circle.
Blue Mountains Line
Monday 12 to Friday 16 September
- Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Mount Victoria
- Trains run between Mount Victoria and Central, some to a changed timetable.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Daily from 6am until 4pm, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Broadmeadow.
- Trains run between Broadmeadow and Central, some to a changed timetable.
Hunter Line
Monday 12 September
- Buses replace trains between Scone and Maitland. Some Telarah services will start and end at Maitland.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Daily from 6am until 4pm, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Broadmeadow.
- Trains run between Broadmeadow, Waratah and Hunter Line stations, some to a changed timetable.
South Coast Line
Wednesday 14 September
- From 8.55pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Kiama and Wollongong.
- Trains run between Wollongong and the City, and between Port Kembla and Thirroul.
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September
- Buses replace trains between Waterfall and Central.
