Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 6 June to Monday 13 June 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking,cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    City Circle

    Access to Circular Quay station will change during Vivid Sydney due to large crowds in the precinct.
    Trains will not drop off passengers at Circular Quay Station from 6pm to 11pm, on:

    • Saturday nights (11 June and 18 June)
    • Sunday 12 June

    Use Wynyard, Martin Place or St James stations instead on these nights and continue on foot towards Circular Quay.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Buses replace trains between Berowra and Gordon.
    • Trains continue to run between Gordon and the City, to a changed timetable.

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Daily from 2am until 2pm, Richmond trains run between Richmond and Leppington. Change at Parramatta for trains to the City.
    • Most Penrith trains make an extra stop at Burwood.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.
    • Daily until 2pm, Homebush trains run between Olympic Park and the City, continuing to Gordon on the T1 North Shore Line.
    • Daily after 2pm, Homebush trains run to the normal timetable between Homebush and the City Circle.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 June

    • Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start and end at Olympic Park or Homebush.
    • Change trains at Granville to continue your journey.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Trains will not run between Olympic Park and Lidcombe.
    • Trains run between Olympic Park and the City, continuing to Gordon on the T1 North Shore Line.
    • You may need to change at Strathfield for trains to Olympic Park.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Strathfield and the City.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Monday 6 to Friday 10 June

    • Until 6pm Friday, buses replace trains between Bathurst, Lithgow and Katoomba.
    • Trains run between Katoomba and Central, some to a changed timetable. 

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Trains run between Lithgow or Mount Victoria and Blacktown only.
    • Most trains from Blacktown towards Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than the normal timetable. 

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Friday 10 June

    • From 11pm until 2am, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and North Sydney or the City Circle, some to a changed timetable. 

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Central.
    • Trackwork on the Hunter, T1 North Shore and T9 Northern lines may also affect how you travel.

    Hunter Line

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
    • Trackwork on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line may also affect how you travel. 

    Sunday 5 June

    • Buses replace the following trains:
      • 04:35 Maitland to Scone
      • 06:38 Scone to Maitland
    • Trains run between Maitland and Newcastle Interchange to the normal timetable.

    South Coast Line

    Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 June

    • Buses replace the following trains:
      – 21:04 Kiama to Bomaderry
      – 22:12 Bomaderry to Kiama.

    Friday 10 to Monday 13 June

    • From 11pm Friday, trains start and end at Bondi Junction.

    Southern Highlands Line

    Saturday 11 to Monday 13 June

    • Trains that run between Southern Highlands Line stations and Central will start and end at Strathfield.
    • Change at Strathfield for express and all stations trains between Strathfield and the City.
