Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking,cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
- Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.
City Circle
Access to Circular Quay station will change during Vivid Sydney due to large crowds in the precinct.
Trains will not drop off passengers at Circular Quay Station from 6pm to 11pm, on:
- Saturday nights (28 May, 4 June, 11 June and 18 June)
- Sunday 12 June
Use Wynyard, Martin Place or St James stations instead on these nights and continue on foot towards Circular Quay.
T1 Western Line
Sunday 5 June
- From 6.20am until 10.30am, most Penrith trains make extra stops at Burwood and Ashfield.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Friday 3 to Sunday 5 June
- From 10pm Friday, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, stopping all-stations between Cabramatta and Lidcombe.
- On Sunday from 6.20am until 10.30am, buses replace the all-stations trains between Ashfield and Central.
T3 Bankstown Line
Sunday 5 June
- From 2am until 9.30am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
- Trains run between Liverpool or Lidcombe and Bankstown, and between Sydenham and the City, some to a changed timetable
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June
- Buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland.
- Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction to a changed timetable and frequency.
T5 Cumberland Line
Friday 3 to Sunday 5 June
- From 10pm Friday, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville.
- Trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond or Schofields and Olympic Park, and between Leppington and the City via Regents Park.
T7 Olympic Park Line
Friday 3 to Sunday 5 June
- From 10pm Friday, extra trains run between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, then continue to Schofields or Richmond.
Blue Mountains Line
Monday 30 May to Friday 3 June
- Buses replace trains between Bathurst, Lithgow and Katoomba.
- Trains run between Katoomba and Central, some to a changed timetable.
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June
- Buses replace trains between Bathurst, Lithgow and Katoomba.
- Trains run between Katoomba and Central, some to a changed timetable.
Hunter Line
Thursday 2 June
- Buses replace the following trains between Maitland and Muswellbrook:
– 08:14 Newcastle Interchange to Muswellbrook
– 10:09 Muswellbrook to Newcastle Interchange - Trains run to the normal timetable between Newcastle Interchange and Maitland.
South Coast Line
Sunday 5 June
- From 8am until 4pm, at Otford and Helensburgh, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
