Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 8 to Sunday 14 May 2023

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Train replacement buses may be impacted due to bus driver shortages. 
    • Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.

    Metro

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May 

    • Nightly from 9.30pm, metro will run to a reduced frequency between Tallawong and Chatswood. 

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    City Circle

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May

    • Nightly from 10pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Train run between Hornsby and the City, some to a changed timetable.

    T1 Western Line

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May

    • Nightly from 10pm to 1.30am, most trains make an extra stop at Homebush. 

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Richmond trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May

    • Nightly from 10pm to 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Inner West trains between Strathfield and Central. 

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Central, platforms 1-12, and will not stop at Ashfield.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Saturday 13 May

    • From 9.30pm to 2.30am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Central.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May

    • Nightly from 9.50pm to 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.
    • Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe.

    Friday 12 May

    • From 10.30pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland.
    • Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Buses replace trains between Cronulla, Waterfall and Central. Some buses start and end at Redfern or Sydenham.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Bondi Junction and Central.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 May

    • Nightly from 11.50pm to 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond or Leppington and Olympic Park only. Some trains start and end at Granville. 

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Early morning and late-night trains between Richmond and Leppington will not run.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Trackwork on the T4 Illawarra and South Coast lines may affect how you travel.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May

    • Nightly from 8.45pm to 3.40am, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong.

    Hunter Line

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May

    • Nightly from 10pm to 1am, trains may run up to 20 minutes later than the normal timetable, due to trackwork on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line.

    South Coast Line

    Monday 8 to Friday 12 May

    • Buses replace some trains between Wollongong and Kiama. 

    Monday 8 to Thursday 11 May

    • Nightly from 9.50pm to 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham.
    • Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. 

    Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May

    • Buses replace trains between Dapto and Central, and between Port Kembla and Wollongong.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Bomaderry and Kiama, and between Kiama and Dapto.

    Southern Highlands Line

    Saturday 13 May

    • From 10am to 4pm, buses replace trains between Campbelltown and Moss Vale.
