Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- Train replacement buses may be impacted due to bus driver shortages.
- Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking, cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
Metro
Monday 15 to Thursday 18 and Sunday 21 May
- Nightly from 9.20pm to 1am, metro will run to a reduced frequency between Tallawong and Chatswood.
T1 Western Line
Wednesday 17 May
- From 10.50pm to 1.30am, most trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.
Thursday 18 May
- From 9.40pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May
- Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Leppington only.
- From 11.30pm Saturday to 5.30am Sunday, and Sunday from 11.50pm to 2am, buses replace all trains between Parramatta and Strathfield.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Wednesday 17 May
- From 11pm to 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Inner West trains between Strathfield and Ashfield.
Friday 19 May
- From 10.30pm to 1.30am, the all-stations Inner West trains run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, to a changed timetable.
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May
- Trains run to a reduced frequency between Leppington and the City via Granville.
- From 11.30pm Saturday to 5.30am Sunday, and Sunday from 11.50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Merrylands and Strathfield.
T3 Bankstown Line
Monday 15 to Thursday 18 May
- Nightly from 9.30pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.
Friday 19 May
- From 10.30pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Sydenham.
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May
- Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Central.
- Buses also run between Cabramatta and Bankstown.
- From 11.30pm Saturday to 5.30am Sunday, and Sunday from 11.50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Bankstown. Trains will not run between Liverpool and Lidcombe.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
- Nightly from 10pm to 1.30am, some trains make extra stops at St Peters and Erskineville.
- Buses replace trains between Hurstville and Central.
T5 Cumberland Line
Thursday 18 May
- From 9.40pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
T8 Airport & South Line
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May
- Trackwork on the T4 Illawarra and South Coast lines may affect how you travel.
Blue Mountains Line
Sunday 21 May
- From 12.20am to 5am and 11.50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Parramatta and Strathfield.
South Coast Line
Monday 15 to Friday 19 May
- Buses replace selected trains between Wollongong and Kiama.
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May
- Trains run to a changed timetable between South Coast Line stations and Waterfall only.
