Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 9 to Sunday 15 May 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Consider other travel options including travelling off peak, walking,cycling and driving where possible as there will be limited space on replacement buses.
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    Metro

    Thursday 19 and Sunday 22 May

    • Nightly from 10pm until 1.30am, buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    City Circle

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Central and Circular Quay via Museum.
    • T1 Western, T2 Inner West and T9 Northern Line trains continue to run between Central and Wynyard.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May

    • From 10pm Friday, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    T1 Western Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, some trains make an extra stop at Ashfield.

    Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May

    • From 10pm Friday, most trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and the City, making extra stops at Homebush, Burwood, Croydon and Ashfield.
    • On Saturday and Sunday, Richmond trains run between Richmond and Olympic Park only.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run to a changed timetable between Homebush and North Sydney. 

    Friday 13 May

    • From 10pm until 2am, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Strathfield only, making an extra stop at Homebush. The all-stations Homebush trains will not run.

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May

    • Buses replace trains between Fairfield and Glenfield, then continue to Macarthur.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central due to City Circle trackwork. 

    Friday 13 May

    • Buses replace the 00:30 Central to Liverpool service from Sydenham to Liverpool, and the 00:52 Lidcombe to Bankstown service. 

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May

    • Buses replace trains between Liverpool and Bankstown. 

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May

    • Buses replace trains between Fairfield and Glenfield, then continue to Macarthur.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May

    • Extra trains run between Olympic Park and Schofields or Richmond.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May 

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central due to City Circle trackwork. 

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May

    • Buses replace trains between Macarthur and Glenfield, then continue to Fairfield.

    T9 Northern Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, some trains make an extra stop at Ashfield. 

    Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May

    • From 10pm Friday, trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at Burwood, Ashfield, then all stations to Redfern.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May

    • From 10pm Friday, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 8.45pm until 3.40am, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong. 

    Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May

    • From 10pm Friday, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central. Some trains leave Central 5 minutes earlier than the normal timetable.

    Hunter Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 10.10pm until 1am, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line.

    South Coast Line

    Monday 9 to Thursday 12 May

    • Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe.

    Saturday 14 May

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Stanwell Park, trains travelling towards Wollongong depart from platform 1, not platform 2. 

    Sunday 15 May

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Scarborough, Wombarra and Coledale, trains travelling towards Wollongong depart from platform 1, not platform 2.

    Southern Highlands Line

    Friday 13 May

    • From 8pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Moss Vale and Campbelltown. 

    Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May

    • Buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown.
