Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Tuesday 26 April to Sunday 1 May 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Currently COVID Safe capacity on public transport is around 75 percent. Green dots will help you to choose the best places to sit or stand. 
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    Metro

    Sunday 1 May

    • From 10pm until 1.30am, buses replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    City Circle

    Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • Some City Circle trains run to a changed timetable and leave from different platforms.

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

      • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
      • Some trains start or end at Central.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

    • Trains run between Hornsby and Wynyard only, some to a changed timetable. Change at Wynyard for City Circle trains, or the light rail to continue your journey.
    • T9 Northern Line trains run between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12.

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

    • Buses replace trains between St Marys and Granville, and between Richmond and Granville.
    • Doonside Station: The footbridge will be closed. A shuttle bus service will run between the Hill End Road side of the station to Doonside Road. Please allow extra time. 

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

    • Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

    • Trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 April

    • Nightly from 9.40pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. 

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

    • Some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 April

    • Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start or end at Olympic Park.
    • You may need to change trains at Granville to continue your journey. 

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

    • Buses replace trains between Leppington and Glenfield, and between Granville and Richmond.

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 22/23, due to trackwork on the City Circle.
    • You may need to change trains at Central to continue your journey. 

    Friday 29 April

    • From 10.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham, and between Sydenham and Central via the Airport. 

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

      • Buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham, and between Sydenham and Central via the Airport.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and Central, platforms 1-12, via Strathfield.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Saturday 30 April and Sunday 1 May

    • Buses replace trains between Penrith and Central.
    • Trains from Penrith to Blue Mountains Line stations leave 45 minutes later than normal.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 April

    • Nightly from 8.45pm until 1.15am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Morisset.
    • Nightly from 9.10pm until 3am, buses replace trains from Morisset to Newcastle Interchange. 

    Saturday 30 April to Sunday 1 May

    • From 8.30pm Saturday until 4.40am Sunday, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Wyong.
    • From 9pm Saturday until 5.30am Sunday, buses replace trains from Wyong to Newcastle Interchange.

    Hunter Line

    ​​Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 April

    • Nightly from 10.10pm until 1am, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line. 

    Saturday 30 April to Sunday 1 May

    • From 11pm Saturday until 6.15am Sunday, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line.
