Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Tuesday 19 April to Monday 25 April 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Currently COVID Safe capacity on public transport is around 75 percent. Green dots will help you to choose the best places to sit or stand. 
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    Metro

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • No trackwork affecting the metro, but trackwork on the T1 North Shore Line may affect how you travel.
    • If you are traveling to the City change at Epping, not Chatswood, for trains to North Sydney via the T9 Northern Line.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • Buses replace trains between Gordon and Wynyard.
    • Trains run between Hornsby and Gordon, and between North Sydney and Olympic Park or Berowra via Strathfield, some to a changed timetable.
    • On Saturday from 11.20pm until 2am, buses also replace trains between Hornsby and Wynyard.

    T1 Western Line

    Wednesday 20 April

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, most trains make extra stops at Homebush and Burwood.

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith or Richmond and Parramatta, continuing to Leppington, and between Olympic Park and the City.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Wednesday 20 April

    • From 10.50pm until 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Ashfield.
    • Most trains run to the normal timetable between Ashfield and the City Circle. 

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • Buses replace trains between Merrylands and Olympic Park.
    • If you are travelling to the City you can catch a direct train from Glenfield via the T8 Airport & South Line, or from Liverpool via the T3 Bankstown Line.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and the City via Sydenham, and between Lidcombe and Bankstown only.
    • On Saturday from 10pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Olympic Park, Lidcombe and Bankstown.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 April

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Central and Bondi Junction.
    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Cronulla or Waterfall and the City Circle.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and Penrith or Richmond.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • Buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, then continue to Parramatta or Merrylands.
    • Trains run between Olympic Park and the City Circle or North Sydney.

    T9 Northern Line

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Berowra or Hornsby and North Sydney, via Strathfield.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April

    • Buses replace trains between Blacktown and Central.
    • Trains from Blacktown towards Blue Mountains Line stations leave 30 minutes later than normal.

    South Coast Line

    ​​Tuesday 19 April until further notice

    • Buses replace trains between Thirroul and Waterfall, continuing to Sutherland.
    • Express buses also run between Wollongong, North Wollongong and Sutherland.

    Thursday 21 April

    • From 10.15pm until 2am, buses replace trains from Wollongong to Port Kembla, in that direction only.
    • Trains continue to run from Port Kembla to Wollongong.
