Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 20 September to Sunday 26 September

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • From Monday 23 August, all public transport services within Greater Sydney including Intercity services are running to a reduced timetable. 

    Metro

    Monday 20 to Thursday 23 and Sunday 26 September

    • Nightly from 7pm until 1am, buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    City Circle

    Monday 20 September

    • From 10pm until 11.55pm, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.
    • From 11.55pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September

    • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Monday 20 to Thursday 23 September

    • Nightly from 11pm until 2am, trains from the City may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.

    T1 Western Line

    Monday 20 to Thursday 23 September

    • Nightly from 11pm until 2am, trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at stations between Strathfield and Central.

    Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September

    • Buses replace trains between Emu Plains and Blacktown.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 20 September

    • From 11.55pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    Monday 20 to Thursday 23 September

    • Nightly from 11pm until 2am, the all-stations Homebush trains will not run between Homebush and Central.

    Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September

    • Homebush trains run between Homebush and North Sydney, to a changed timetable.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 20 to Thursday 23 September

    • Nightly from 9.40pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta or Lidcombe and Bankstown.

    Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September

    • Trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    T8 Airport& South Line

    Monday 20 September

    • From 10pm until 1.30am, some trains start or end at Central. Some trains continue to run around the City Circle, to a changed timetable.

    Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September

    • Buses replace trains between Sydenham and Central via the Airport.

    T9 Northern Line

    Monday 20 to Thursday 23 September

    • Nightly from 11pm until 2am, trains run to a changed timetable and make extra stops at stations between Strathfield and Central.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September

    • Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Blacktown. Bathurst trains are replaced by buses between Bathurst and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Wednesday 22 to Thursday 23 September

    • Nightly from 8.35pm until 2.30am, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong.

    South Coast Line

    Sunday 26 September

    • From 8am until 4pm, at Otford and Helensburgh, trains towards Central leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
