COVID-19 Update
From Monday 19 July, all public transport services within Greater Sydney including Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong and Shellharbour areas will run to a reduced timetable. School services may be impacted. Stay at home and avoid non-essential travel.
Sydney Metro – A reduced service will be operating, running every 20 minutes.
Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services – All lines will operate to a Sunday and public holiday timetable with exception of the Hunter and Southern Highlands lines, which will operate to a normal weekday timetable.
Sydney bus services – Most bus services in the Greater Sydney area are running to a Sunday and public holiday timetable.
Sydney ferries – Operating to a modified Saturday timetable. Services will operate hourly with exception to Pyrmont services, which will operate every 30 minutes.
Sydney light rail – A reduced service will be operating, running every 20 minutes

City Circle
Wednesday 21 July
From 11pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
T1 North Shore Line
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July
Buses replace trains between Berowra and Hornsby.
T1 Western Line
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July
- Trains run between Emu Plains or Penrith and the City to a changed timetable.
On Sunday from 5.50am until 11am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Wednesday 21 July
- From 11pm until 1.30am, some trains from the City start at Central. You may need to change trains at Central to continue your journey.
Saturday 24 July
From 12pm until 2.55pm, the all-stations Homebush trains will start and end at Ashfield.
T3 Bankstown Line
Wednesday 21 July
From 11pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Sunday 25 July
- Buses replace the 00:48 Bondi Junction to Waterfall train between Sutherland and Waterfall.
Buses replace the 01:30 and 02:31 Waterfall to Hurstville trains between Waterfall and Hurstville.
T5 Cumberland Line
Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 July
- Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only.
Sunday 25 July
From 5.50am until 11am, buses replace trains between Richmond and Blacktown.
T7 Olympic Park Line
No trackwork scheduled.
T8 Airport & South Line
Wednesday 21 July
From 11pm until 1.30am, trains to the City end at Central. You may need to change trains at Central to continue your journey.
Blue Mountains Line
Friday 23 July
- From 11pm until 2am, trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Strathfield only.
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July
Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only.
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
Friday 23 July
- From 11pm until 2am, trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only.
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July
Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Central.
Hunter Line
Wednesday 21 July
- Buses replace the selected services between Maitland and Muswellbrook.
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July
Buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
South Coast Line
Friday 23 to Sunday 25 July
- On Friday from 11pm until 2am, trains run between South Coast Line stations and Bondi Junction.
- From 11pm Friday until 11pm Saturday, at Wollongong, trains towards Kiama leave from platform 1, not platform 2.
From 11pm Saturday until 11pm Sunday, at Wollongong, trains towards the City leave from platform 2, not platform 1.
Southern Highlands Line
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July
Goulburn trains run between Goulburn and Strathfield via Regents Park, stopping at Glenfield, Lidcombe and Strathfield only.
