Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 27 September to Monday 4 October

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • On Tuesday 28 September, due to planned industrial action, Sydney Trains, NSW TrainLink Intercity and Regional train services will not run from 9am to 1pm. The L1 Dulwich Hill light rail services will not run from 3pm to 5pm.  Services will be disrupted for most of the day.

    Metro

    Monday 27 to Thursday 30 September

    • Nightly from 7pm until 1am, buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    Sunday 3 and Monday 4 October

    • Nightly from 7pm until 1am, Buses replace metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood.

    City Circle Line

    Monday 27 to Thursday 30 September

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Town Hall.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Sunday 3 and Monday 4 October

    • From 10pm Sunday, buses replace trains between Berowra and Hornsby.

    T1 Western Line

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October

    • Until 10pm Sunday, Penrith trains run to a changed timetable between Penrith and the City via Olympic Park.
    • Richmond trains run between Richmond and Leppington via the T5 Cumberland Line. You may need to change at Parramatta to continue your journey.

    Monday 4 October

    • From 11am until 3pm, Penrith trains make extra stops at Burwood and Ashfield. 

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 27 to Thursday 30 September

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1am, some trains from the City start at Central. You may need to change trains at Central to continue your journey. 

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October

    • Until 10pm Sunday, Leppington trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington and the City Circle via Olympic Park. 

    Monday 4 October

    • From 6am until 10.30am, the all-stations Homebush trains run between Ashfield and the City only.
    • From 11am until 3pm, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Ashfield and Central.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 4 October

    • From 2am until 9.30am, buses replace trains between Bankstown and Sydenham.

    T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line

    Monday 27 to Thursday 30 September

    • Nightly 9.50pm until 2am, buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Some buses continue to Hurstville. 

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 September

    • Nightly from 11.50pm until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Granville, and between Granville and Leppington only. Some trains start or end at Olympic Park.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October

    • Until 10pm Sunday, trains run to a changed timetable between Leppington or Penrith and the City via Olympic Park. 

    T8 Airport & South Line

    Monday 27 to Thursday 30 September

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 1am, trains to the City end at Central. You may need to change trains at Central to continue your journey.

    T9 Northern Line

    Sunday 3 and Monday 4 October

    • From 10pm Sunday, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 October

    • Until 10pm Sunday, trains run to a changed timetable between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Sunday 3 to Tuesday 5 October

    • From 10pm Sunday until 2am Tuesday, buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Central.
    • On Sunday, the last train from Central to Newcastle Interchange will leave Central at 18:18.
    • From 2am Tuesday until 2am Wednesday, buses continue to replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Wyong.

    Hunter Line

    Sunday 3 to Thursday 7 October

    • From 6pm Sunday until 2am Thursday, buses replace trains between Scone or Dungog and Newcastle Interchange.
    • On Monday, limited buses also run directly between Scone or Maitland and Central.
    • On Thursday, buses replace the 03:55 Maitland to Scone and the 06:38 Scone to Maitland services.
