Sydney & NSW - Trackwork Monday 21 February to Sunday 27 February 2022

    Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need. 

    • Currently COVID Safe capacity on public transport is around 75 percent. Green dots will help you to choose the best places to sit or stand. 
    • Face masks are mandatory on public transport, including taxis, ride share and hire cars across NSW.

    City Circle

    Monday 21 to Thursday 24 February

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    T1 North Shore Line

    Monday 21 to Thursday 24 February

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 2.30am, buses replace Central Coast & Newcastle Line trains between Hornsby and Berowra.

    T1 Western Line

    Wednesday 23 February 

    • From 11pm until 1.30am, some trains make extras stop at Homebush and Burwood. 

    Friday 25 February

    • From 10pm until 10.20pm, some trains to the City end at Olympic Park. 
    • From 10.20pm until 12.30am, Homebush trains run between Rhodes, Strathfield and the City only. T1 Western Line trains make extra stops at Homebush, Burwood and Ashfield. 

    Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 February

    • Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
    • From 7.10pm Saturday until 2am Sunday, buses replace trains between Parramatta and Strathfield.

    T2 Inner West & Leppington Line

    Monday 21 to Thursday 24 February

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    Wednesday 23 February

    • From 10.50pm until 1.30am, buses replace the all-stations Homebush trains between Strathfield and Central. 

    Friday 25 February

    • From 10pm until 10.20pm, some trains to the City end at Olympic Park. 
    • From 10.20pm until 12.30am, Homebush trains run between Rhodes, Strathfield and the City only. T1 Western Line trains make extra stops at Homebush, Burwood and Ashfield.

    Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 February

    • Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Strathfield.
    • From 7.10pm Saturday until 2am Sunday, buses replace trains between Merrylands and Strathfield via Granville.

    T3 Bankstown Line

    Monday 21 to Thursday 24 February

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains run around the City Circle in one direction only, from Central first stop Museum.

    T5 Cumberland Line

    Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 February

    • Extra trains run between Richmond and Leppington.

    T7 Olympic Park Line

    Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 February

    • Trains run to a changed timetable between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, then continue to Penrith or Leppington.
    • From 7.10pm Saturday until 2am Sunday, buses also replace trains between Olympic Park and Lidcombe, continuing to Parramatta or Strathfield.

    T8 Airport&South Line

    Monday 21 to Thursday 24 February

    • Nightly from 9.45pm until 1.30am, trains start and end at Central, platforms 22/23, due to trackwork on the City Circle.
    • Nightly from 9.50pm until 1.30am, buses replace trains between Glenfield and Revesby.

    T9 Northern Line

    Friday 25 to Sunday 27 February

    • From 10.20pm Friday, extra trains run between Rhodes and the City Circle.

    Blue Mountains Line

    Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 February

    • Saturday from 12.10am until 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable via the T3 Bankstown Line.
    • From 2am Saturday continuing all weekend, buses replace trains between Blacktown and Central.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line

    Monday 21 to Thursday 24 February

    • Nightly from 9.30pm until 2.30am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Gosford.

    Friday 25 to Sunday 27 February

    • From 10.20pm Friday, trains may run to a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
