Here’s the update on scheduled trackwork affecting services. Plan your trip and work out any extra travel time you need.
- The biggest coordinated program of rail maintenance ever undertaken in Sydney has begun in response to te recent recommendations made by the expert panel conducting the Sydney Trains Review for restoring reliability to the network.
- Maintenance work is being prioritized during the existing trackwork windows such as on weekends, weeknights, during school holidays or during weekday diversions when fewer people are catching trains.
- Train replacement buses may be impacted due to bus driver shortages. Consider catching local bus services where possible, or make alternative arrangements.
T1 Western Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June
- Richmond trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond and Liverpool.
- Change at Parramatta to continue your journey towards the City.
T2 Inner West & Leppington Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June
- Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Granville or Regents Park.
T3 Bankstown Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June
- Buses replace trains between Lidcombe and Sydenham.
- Trains run between Leppington and the City via Regents Park, and between Sydenham and Bondi Junction, to a changed timetable.
- Sunday from 4am to 6am, buses also replace trains between Cabramatta and Bankstown.
- Trains run between Liverpool and Lidcombe via Regents Park only.
T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line
Monday 27 to Thursday 30 May
- Nightly from 9.50pm to 2.30am, buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland.
- Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June
- Buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland.
- Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, to a changed timetable.
T8 Airport & South Line
Monday 27 to Thursday 30 May
- Nightly from 9.30pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Glenfield and Sydenham.
- Trains run between Macarthur and Glenfield, and until 10.40pm between Turrella and Central via the Airport, some to a changed timetable.
- Nightly from 10.40pm to 1.30am, buses also replace trains between Sydenham and Central via the Airport.
Hunter Line
Thursday 30 May
- Buses replace the following trains between Maitland and Muswellbrook:
- 08:14 Newcastle Interchange to Muswellbrook
- 10:09 Muswellbrook to Newcastle Interchange
- Trains run to the normal timetable between Newcastle Interchange and Maitland.
Saturday 1 June
- From 8pm to 2.20am, buses replace trains from Newcastle Interchange to Telarah.
- From 9.10pm to 3.30am, buses replace trains from Telarah to Newcastle Interchange.
South Coast Line
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June
- Buses replace trains between Bomaderry, Kiama and Wollongong.
- Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Central or Bondi Junction, to the normal timetable.
- Buses do not run to the train timetable. If you are connecting with trains at Wollongong you may need to catch an earlier bus to ensure you meet your train connection.
Southern Highlands Line
Saturday 1 June
- From 4.40am to 4pm, buses replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown.
