Thanksgiving service changes

    ⚠️ Expect changes in service levels for public transportation on Thursday, November 26- Sunday, November 29, for Thanksgiving weekend. 


    Everything you need to know 👇

     MBTA

    MBTA routes operate on weekend schedules for most major federal and state holidays.

     All modes will run on a regular weekday schedule—except for the Hingham/Hull ferries.

    The Hingham/Hull ferries will continue to run on a reduced weekday schedule.

     No ferry service.

    All other modes will run on a Sunday schedule.

     


    Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) Updates

    • 11/26/2020 Thanksgiving Day – SRTA will provide demand response ONLY and no fixed route service 

    MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA) Updates

    • MWRTA will NOT run service on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020. Regular service will resume on Friday, November 27, 2020. Please call (508) 935-2222 with any questions.

    Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) Updates 

    • RIPTA Offices Will Be closed on Thursday, November 26

      The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will operate all fixed-route services on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Thursday, November 26, 2020, in observance of Thanksgiving Day, an official state holiday.


    Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) Updates

    • In Observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday,the LRTA will be closed on Thursday, November 26th.

    Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority (MVRTA) Updates

    • MVRTA ill be closed Thursday November 26, 2020 in observance of Thanksgiving Day. There will be no bus or van service on this day. The Boston Commuter service remains canceled due to COVID-19. We will be running a normal schedule on Wednesday November 25 and Friday November 27, 2020.
    • The main office will be closed on November 26, 2020 in observance of Thanksgiving Day.
